Chuck has practiced primarily in the area of employee benefits for almost 40 years. He is a shareholder with the firm of Maddin, Hauser, Wartell, Roth & Heller, PC located in Southfield, Michigan and chairs their employee benefits group. He lectures frequently on qualified retirement plans and related matters before a wide range of professional organizations. Chuck has extensive experience representing clients in controversy matters before the IRS, DOL, and other government agencies. He has had the privilege of serving as a member of the IRS Advisory Committee on Tax Exempt and Government Entities (ACT) and numerous other advisory and liaison committees with the IRS. Chuck has also served as Chairman of the Taxation Section for the State Bar of Michigan and other positions within the Taxation Section. Chuck is regularly recognized by his peers by inclusion in Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers in the area of employee benefits. He is currently serving as co-chair of the 2011 ASPPA Annual Conference. Chuck is married to his wife, Linda, who works as a web developer, and they have one son, Rick, who lives in Las Vegas working as a journalist.
