Douglas M. Selwyn is a partner in the Houston, Texas office of Conner & Winters, LLP, specializing in employee benefits law, with a special focus on multiemployer employee benefit plans, including collectively bargained and union sponsored employee pension and welfare benefit plans. Mr. Selwyn is former Co-Chair of the Employee Benefits Committee of the Labor and Employment Section, American Bar Association, having served as co-chair of the Fiduciary Responsibility subcommittee and Ethics subcommittee. He is also a member of the ERISA Industry Group in Houston. Mr. Selwyn is a Chapter Editor of the Second Edition, and Contributing Author of the Third Edition, “Employee Benefits Law,” published by the ABA Section of Labor and Employment Law and BNA, 1996-2012. Mr. Selwyn is a member of the Texas Bar Association and has written and co-authored several employee benefits articles on Ethics, Fiduciary Responsibility, USERRA, Collection of Employer Contributions and Withdrawal Liability; and he also is a frequent lecturer at employee benefits institutes and seminars and a contributor to various publications specializing in employee benefits law.
