A full-time provider of impartial conflict management services, I've arbitrated and mediated more than 4,000 labor-management, employee benefit, trustee deadlock, withdrawal liability, and employment law disputes. I started out representing unions and employee benefit funds, continued as General Counsel of NY City's Office of Labor Relations dealing with public sector benefit funds, and spent 10 years as a Professor of Law at Albany Law School. A graduate of Princeton University and Yale Law School, I've chaired the Labor and Employment Law Sections of three bar associations. I'm a member of the Board of Governors of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, and I've been Impartial Arbitrator for the National Hockey League, Major League Baseball, National Football League, US Olympic Committee and many other public and private sector relationships. I chaired the IFEBP's Committee that drafted the AAA's MPPAA Arbitration Rules for Withdrawal Liability Disputes and have appeared in Who's Who in America, in the East, in Labor, in American Law, and Best Lawyers in America. I'm honored to be one of the ACEBC's few neutral Fellows.
