Ms. Baker chairs the national Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Practice Group at Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP. She represents employers, boards and compensation committees of public, private, and not for profit businesses in executive compensation matters, including non-qualified deferred compensation, equity incentives, employment and severance arrangements for executives, golden parachutes, and governance. She also advises employers as to tax-qualified retirement plans (including 401(k) plans, defined benefit plans and ESOPs), and provides ERISA advice on pension fund investing issues. Ms. Baker is a director of the ABA Retirement Funds. She is past chair of the ABA Tax Section Employee Benefits Committee, the Illinois State Bar Association Employee Benefits Section Council and the Chicago Bar Association Employee Benefits Committee. She is a charter member of the ACEBC. She is also active in the ABA Business Section Federal Regulation of Securities Committee. Ms. Baker is nationally recognized as a leading practitioner in employee benefits and executive compensation. A frequent author and speaker, she co-chairs the ABA-JCEB National Institute on Executive Compensation and the ALI-ABA Program on Pension, Profit-Sharing, and Welfare Plans.
