Sheldon H. Smith is Of Counsel in the Denver office of Bryan Cave LLP. He has been married to Lucy for 42 years, has two very adult children, Adam and Amanda, and two grandchildren, Lisa and Alex. In addition to his ERISA practice, he educates other professionals, both within and outside of the legal sector, and has done so for over 30 years. As an in-demand speaker, he has presented numerous seminars and given speeches in most states to many diverse professional groups, such as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, many state societies of CPAs, Western Pension & Benefits Conference, ASPPA, IACEBS, College for Financial Planning, Financial Planners Association, Thomson Reuters, and others. Mr. Smith has been on the adjunct or visiting faculty at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law where he currently teaches courses on ERISA. In addition to being a Fellow, Mr. Smith, a past President of ASPPA, has been selected to Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business, The Best Lawyers in America, Who's Who in American Law and Who's Who in American Education. Mr. Smith was recently honored as the University of Denver Sturm College of Law as Outstanding Alumnus.
