William K. Ecklund

Mr. Ecklund is currently of Counsel in the law firm of Felhaber, Larson, Fenlon & Vogt, P.A. in St. Paul, Minnesota. The firm represents many multiemployer benefit plans in the construction, trucking, graphic communication, and automobile industries. As fund counsel, he has attended over 800 trustee meetings of pension, health and welfare, apprenticeship, and vacation funds. In addition, he established the first collectively bargained workers compensation jointly trusteed fund in Minnesota which has become one of the most successful programs in the country.

Mr. Ecklund’s extensive experience as an ERISA attorney includes a wide range of professional activities and Memberships:

• Speaker at over 100 seminars on ERISA matters and instructor for 16 years on the “Trustee Responsibility” portion of the New Trustees Institute sponsored by the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP)

• Former Arbitrator pursuant to the “Multi employer Pension Plan Arbitration Rules for Withdrawal Liability Disputes”

• Founder and first Chair of the Employee Benefit Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association

• Former Chair of the Attorney’s Committee and member of the Educational Program Committee for the IFEBP

• Fellow of the American College of Employee Benefit Counsel

• Member of the American, Minnesota and Michigan Bar Associations
