William L. Scogland

Bill Scogland is "of counsel" with Smith Amundsen in Chicago, IL. Bill has worked in the employee benefit and executive compensation area since graduating from the Harvard law School in 1975. He was the head of the benefit and compensation practice at Jenner & Block LLP from 1981 to 2013. He was a member of the Department of Labor's Advisory Council on Employee Welfare and Pension Benefit Plans for the 2006-2008 term, and he was vice chair in 2007 and chair in 2008. He was lecturer in law at the University of Chicago Law School 2000-2007 and 2009, teaching the employee benefit seminar. Bill and his wife, Vicki, have one son, Tom, who is married and who is a PhD in computer science. Bill and Vicki live in Lake Forest, Illinois.
